The Peale is a 501(c)(3) tax-exempt, non-profit corporation established to restore the historic Peale Museum building as a center to celebrate the unique culture of Baltimore, its people, and places.

Mission

By creating a more inclusive soundtrack of the city, the Peale aims to help people everywhere see Baltimore in a new light. The Peale illuminates stories of Baltimore’s people and places, while reinventing the urban museum in the creative and innovative spirit of its founder, artist Rembrandt Peale. The Peale is a laboratory and platform for creatives in Baltimore to collaborate and present their work physically and virtually with the support of the Peale’s staff.
